Hello hello! Apologies for my rather long absence...It definitely wasn't planned but I've just been crazy busy with work, archery and other bits and pieces so unfortunately nails had to take a back seat. The good news is I am back and with some more beautiful polishes to share with you from Sparklea Nail Polish, which as you probably know, is created by one of my nail besties Lea (Leas Nails). These two polishes are the newest additions to the Harry Potter Collection and you can view my swatches of the first six here. Let's get stuck right in shall we?
The first new addition is Dementor's Kiss, obviously named after the creepy flying characters and their less than romantic pastime of sucking out peoples souls. This is a super pretty black jelly filled with plenty of gunmetal and holo glitter and I love it! I'm 90% sure (maybe) that a grey glitter is something I don't have in my collection so this makes me very happy indeed. On the first coat it was rather sheer but as you can see, it became totally opaque on the second so all is well! Shown here is two coats with topcoat.
The second new polish is named High Inquisitor and if you've read the books/seen the film, it should be obvious who this is based on, even without having seen the photo at the start of this post! For those that maybe aren't big HP fans (do those people exist?), the High Inquisitor was a title given to Professor Umbridge by the Ministry of Magic. Also, Professor Umbridge is basically the most hated character from all 7 books/films. Sorry Umbridge but "I must not tell lies". There's definitely no hating this polish though!
Again this was slightly sheer on the first coat, although less so than Dementor's Kiss, and became fully opaque on the second. When I told Lea I was swatching them she messaged me asking if I found it alright to apply as she'd used a new base and I can confirm that it was very easy to apply, made easy by the fab formula it had! Shown here is two coats with topcoat.
Yet again, Lea has created some wonderful polishes! I'm so happy that the Harry Potter Collection is expanding and also just still generally excited that Lea is making polish again! I did do some nail art with the two polishes but it totally sucked... You could tell I'd had a week off! High Inquisitor and Dementor's Kiss will be releasing on Sparklea Nail Polish at 7:30pm 23rd March (aka tomorrow!) so don't miss out.
