Elune by Emily - Swatches & Review

 *PR Sample*

Hello! Today I'm going to be sharing swatches from one of the newest UK indies on the block, Elune by Emily! I say one of the newest but I think they've actually been around since April, I've just never got round to trying any polishes! Thankfully that has now all changed after the lovely Emily asked if I could swatch some of her latest releases and I was very quick to say yes! For those that don't know, Elune by Emily is a UK indie polish brand run by Emily from @nailmeright on Instagram. Over the last few months she's created lots of different beautiful polishes all with female names. The names are all inspired by a variety of things from Emily's life e.g. books, films and music, which I think is really lovely! We've all got to appreciate a bit of girl power right?! Read on to find out more about the polishes I was sent.

Danglefoot Polish - Doctor Who Collaboration Collection

 *PR Sample*

Good evening! It's been a little while I know but I've been working an absolute ton. Gotta get all that money to spend on Christmas right?! Or what I really mean is clothes and nail polish! Anyway, as always I am returning with something super exciting. For a while now Hayley from Danglefoot Polish has talked about doing a Doctor Who collection and I was lucky enough to be asked to collaborate on it as I love it so much. Obviously I said yes and a few months ago we really started thinking about what we wanted in it. Do you want to see what we came up with? Of course you do so read on!

UberChic Beauty - Lovely Leaves 02

Hi everyone! Today I have a short little post that features possibly the best nail art I have done for a long time. It's been a while since I've done some stamping and thought "I never want to take this off" but today it happened! Last year I bought the UberChic Beauty Lovely Leaves 02 plate from Nail Art UK and I think I only got round to using it once, if that. I've now used it several times over the last week and I am so glad I have it! Now that we're in October it officially feels like autumn, despite the high temperatures and sunny weather we suddenly seem to have again, so this is definitely the perfect plate!

XO Balm - Testing & Review

*PR Sample*
Hello! I have something a little bit different to share today which I'm really excited about. It's been a long time coming thanks to the craziness that was the last couple of months but we got there eventually! I was lucky enough to be sent XO Balm which is a moisturising balm that treats dry, rough, sensitive or irritated skin with an effective combination of 100% natural ingredients. As I've been so busy my hands have been seriously neglected so I knew this was something I really needed. The question is...did it actually help??

De'Lish Nails London - Swatches & Review

 *PR Sample*
Why is it that the weekends always go so fast? I haven't worked since Tuesday and I'm not working until tomorrow night but even so...this weekend has flown by! It's been a bit of a mad couple of weeks with starting my job, my graduation (more on that in a future post!) and some other personal things but hopefully things will start to settle down now. My nails are slowly growing back after I had to chop them down for training so that always helps with my motivation/inspiration. Anyway, for tonights post I have swatches and a review of a new-to-me brand. I was kindly asked to swatch some of De'Lish Nails London new collection and I was super excited when these three beauties came through my letterbox.

'Ard As Nails - Autumn 2018 Cremes

*PR Sample*
Hello lovely people! I'm back again today with another swatch and review post for 'Ard As Nails. Well, not for 'Ard As Nails as Kat doesn't ask me to write a blog post, only to swatch the polishes. I just think they're so fab that they deserve their own blog post! I received these beauties a couple of weeks ago and the shades made me soo ready for autumn. Although I do love a good neon and bright polish for summer, I just adore all the colours that you get with this lovely change of season. It's the 1st of September so it's officially autumn now too yeah?! Let's take a look at what new additions we have to The Creme Collection!

Barry M - Molten Metal Collection '18

Hi everybody! If you follow me on Instagram then you know I've had a totally crazy month or two hence the lack of posts! I have finally submitted my dissertation so will be officially graduating in September, had my birthday last week so now I'm at the ripe old age of 22 (woo!), been on a little trip to Edinburgh with my lovely boyfriend and next week I start my new job! I can't believe how quickly it's come round and I'm so excited. Today I found out that I will be working on the specialist personality disorder ward which I imagine is going to be a challenge but so interesting and rewarding. Anyway, as exciting as that is for me, I'm sure you're here to read about nails so let's crack on shall we? Today I have the four new additions to the Molten Metal collection from Barry M. Read on to find out more!

'Ard As Nails - Summer 2018 Cremes

*PR Sample*
Hi! It's another Wednesday and fortunately I actually have another post. This week has become slightly crazy as we decided I would be moving out on Friday so now I'm frantically packing the past four years of uni life up and wondering how on earth I've accumulated so much stuff! I'm incredibly excited to be going home though as I get to be with my gorgeous dog again and I'll be 20 minutes up the road from my boyfriend rather than 2 hours away. I just really hate packing...a lot. And don't even get me started on all the polish I have to pack yet haha! Anyway, today I'm going to be sharing the five new additions to The Creme Collection from 'Ard As Nails. Let's get stuck right in!

Bundlemonster Kawaii Emoji - Banana Nail Art

Hi everyone! Today I have some nail art that is a little more silly and lighthearted than usual. I was trying to do some nail stuff the other day and it was just all going wrong and nothing seemed to be working. In the end I just kind of gave up with it and threw my hands in the air. Eventually I went and had a rummage through my stamping plates, picked one I hadn't used yet and came up with a new, but simple idea. I went for something bright as I clearly needed the cheering up and I've been using a lot of greens and blues lately. The funniest thing was, as silly as it was, I ended up loving the mani and didn't want to take it off!

Wikkid Polish - Amethyst Review

Hey guys! Is it just me or is July speeding away? This will only be a short post from me today as I'm busy trying to do my dissertation and as the internet decided to crash earlier, I haven't done as much as I planned. Back in October/November I won a free polish from Wikkid Polish and I'm only just getting round to using it. Awful I know! I got to choose which one I wanted and although I had a list a mile long, I settled on a purple because as we know, you can never go wrong with purple!

Lesly Plates - Flowerbed 2 Review

 *Press Sample*

Hi all! Hope you're all well and still enjoying the sunshine. Today I have another plate review for you and this was sent to me by the lovely Gemma from Nail Art UK. The stamping plate I have to share is Lesly Flowerbed 2 and is actually the first Lesly plate I've owned. I've seen them being used by other nail artists on Instagram but never thought to buy some for whatever reason. Probably my lack of money due to being a student! Let's crack on and see what I thought shall we?

Monthly Favourites - June 2018

Hi everyone! Apologies for my mini break again, things got pretty crazy very quickly and I just didn't have time for nails. The good news is, on Monday I was offered an actual full time adult job! As I'm sure most of you know, I'm just coming to the end of four years studying psychology at uni. I've been applying for jobs for months and for the most part, have heard nothing back at all. However, all that finally changed! I'm so so pleased because I'll be working in a psychiatric hospital in my home town which means I can live at my parents temporarily. My boyfriend and I are planning to get our own house together so this gives me the perfect opportunity to save some money. I am super excited and it's finally starting to feel like my life is coming together! Anyway, onto todays post! Way back in October last year I did my first, and only, monthly favourites post. Now that I'm back blogging etc., I obviously wanted to start that again properly so here we are!

Dorkface Inspired Nail Art

Hello! How are we all today? I sincerely hope you have had a much better day than me... I started the day by leaving my house, crossing the road and then slipping on the wet pavement resulting in a scratched foot, bruised knees, dirty trousers and half the skin taken off my elbow. Unfortunately I was on the way to the train station for my volunteering placement so I couldn't go back to bed and hide for the rest of the day, boooo. Anyhow, I'm now safely tucked up in bed finishing this post! This post/nail art has been a long time coming and I'm so pleased to have finally got round to doing it! I recently discovered the lovely and very talented lady that is Jemma, owner of Dorkface. Not only does she have a great blog and a beautiful instagram, but she also has an Etsy shop with amazing artwork and other fab bits! Way, way back in January (I said it was a long time coming) I asked her if she would be happy for me to try and recreate one of her paintings as nail art. Fortunately for me, she said yes!

Painted Polish - Road to Polish Con 2017

Evening lovelies! I am back from my little weekend holiday feeling both rested and exhausted...not sure how that works but hey! It was really nice to get away for a few days with my boyfriend, parents and my gorgeous doggie and we had a lovely time exploring a bit of Cornwall. My parents are actually staying for the rest of this week but I've come back to uni to carry on with dissertation work (and blogging!). This leads me on to today's post which features one of my favourite international indie brands; Painted Polish. I have two polishes to share with you from the Road to Polish Con series in the lead up to both the New York and Chicago Polish Con's last year. Once again, my good friend Becca ordered these for me alongside her stuff and I'm sooo happy she did!

Marble Nail Art

Hello lovely people! I hope you are all having a good week, but if you're not, just remember that it is almost the weekend! I'm actually going on a little weekend away in Cornwall with my boyfriend and my parents so I'm very excited. Although I'm not going to lie, the thing I'm most excited about is the hot tub that comes with our lodge! Anyway, before I leave I wanted to get some nail art done and I first chose a design that I haven't done for agesss. As you can probably guess from the title, it's a marble design!

Barry M - S/S 18 Molten Metal Collection

Hi all! Apologies for my missed post on Friday. I thought I could do swatches and write a post before my boyfriend came to visit but I was very much mistaken, woops! Today I'm sharing some polishes that I've waited a good few months to get my hands on and I'm super excited to have finally tried them. These are of course, the four new holographic polishes that form part of the Molten Metal collection from Barry M. Let's get right into the swatches shall we?

MoYou London - Minimal 05 Nail Art

Hi lovely people! Look at me go with this consistent posting! I am absolutely loving being able to do nails again. The problem is, I have so many ideas about things I want to do, I'm not sure what to do first! For now, I'm going to alternate between nail art and swatch blog posts so I can do a bit of everything and hopefully give you guys what you want too. This means that today is nail art day woohoo! I had a rummage through my stamping plates, picked some I really liked and then got my lovely boyfriend Alex to choose an image from one of them and the stamping polish colour. Read on to find out what I ended up with!

LynBDesigns - From the Ashes & The Violet of Shy-Town

Hello hello! I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunshine (or avoided the sun if you're like me!). Today I have some swatches of polishes I received from my wonderful friend Becca of A Certain Becca Nails. These polishes are from LynBDesigns, a brand from Michigan in the US. LynBDesigns is completely new to me so I was excited to see what the polishes were like. Read on to find out more!

Lina 4 Seasons - Summer 02 Plate Review

Evening everyone! I hope your first day of June has been slightly less chaotic than mine has. Had a horrendous train journey back to uni earlier with both trains being delayed, last minute platform changes (not ideal when you're carrying a heavy suitcase), busy carriages with no spare seats and broken air con! I mean seriously, what more could have gone wrong?! I finally made it back to Plymouth and got right into some nail art as I was so excited! I decided to use a plate that I received last year from Nail Art UK and absolutely loved the look of but never had a chance to use. It may have taken a while but I got there eventually!

Sleepover Indie Box - Swatches & Review

Hellooo ladies and gentlemen! I am proud to say that I have officially done my last exam of my undergraduate degree! I can't quite believe it and I don't think the reality has quite sunk in yet... I still have to do my dissertation as I ended up having to get an extension thanks to the not so fun thing that is depression but it's allll good. Anyway, I couldn't wait to get back into blogging so I am making my return with swatches of the recently released Sleepover Indie Box! If you are at all active in the UK indie world then you'll know that the indie box is organised by the fabulous Hayley from Danglefoot Polish and features various other UK indies. Each box has a theme and this time it was Sleepovers! Let's take a look at what goodies were inside shall we?

Danglefoot Polish - Star Trek Collection

*Press Sample*

Hello hello! Thought I'd spend some time writing a blog post as I'm just waiting for my new term at uni to start and I've been sent four gorgeous polishes from my beloved Danglefoot Polish. When Hayley told us she was going to be making a Star Trek collection I got super excited because I LOVE Star Trek, both old and new. I must admit that Chekov in the recent films is my absolute favourite so I was utterly heartbroken when the actor Anton Yelchin died a couple of years ago. It's safe to say that I did not make it through Star Trek Beyond without crying! Anyway, onto happier things like pretty polishes...
