Helloo ladies and gentlemen! I hope you've all had a lovely Wednesday. I've had a fab day going to a brand new university for my induction/enrolment onto my masters course in neuropsychology! Today I have some gorgeous customs to share with you in celebration of Rainbow Connection UK's 6th anniversary. I was both shocked and honoured when I was asked to swatch these so I hope I've done them justice!
Ethereal Lacquer 'Dreamscape' is a stunning shifty flakie polish with a bright copper/green shifting shimmer. This is definitely one that I would recommend as a topper due to it's opacity but it's very very pretty. Shown below in three coats with topcoat.
I obviously also had to try it over a base colour so shown below is one coat of 'Dreamscape' over Painted Polish 'Stamped in Wine'.
The other polish from Ethereal Lacquer is 'Enchantress', a super pretty lilac with tiny holographic flakes and a lovely shimmer. This applied really well and had a nice smooth formula. Shown below in three coats with topcoat (third coat to cover a couple of streaks over my deep nail ridges).
The next brand is Bee's Knees Lacquer and the first polish is 'And One More For Good Luck'. This is an absolutely gorgeous purple polish with a blue shimmer and tons of flakies. Magic in a bottle if you ask me! It started out a little sheer but did apply well. Swatch shows three coats with topcoat.
The second flakie beauty from Bee's Knees is 'Another Year Another Polish'. A beautiful bright red with gold/green shimmer and flakies, this certain feels party ready! Again it had a fab formula and applied really nicely. Shown below in two coats with topcoat.
The final brand we have is Quixotic Polish with two more amazing polishes! 'Chin-chin!' is a stunning blue with shifty purple shimmer and holographic flakes. If you're a blue lover then this is definitely one for you! Shown here in two coats with topcoat.
Last but not least we have Quixotic Polish 'Sexennial', a brilliant silver holo. I'd highly recommend a silver holo for any occasion so I'm very glad this is included in Rainbow Connection's anniversary celebrations. Another polish with a lovely formula, you can't go wrong here really! Swatch shows two coats with topcoat.
So, what do we think? I love all these polishes and I'm so pleased I got to swatch them. Amazingly these are all from brands that I had never tried before so I was really excited to see what they were like! I can certainly say that none of them were a disappointment!
Now the question I'm sure you've been asking since the start of the post... "When and where can I get my hands on these?". Now, they will obviously be on the Rainbow Connection UK website and there will also be a group buy for US/CAN customers. All six polishes will be £11.50/$13 and they go on sale Friday 27th September! For more information and to keep up-to-date with all new releases, join the 'Rainbow Connection Junkies' on Facebook.
Huge congratulations to Annette and Rainbow Connection UK for reaching six years! It's amazing to have such a selection of polishes from the international indie brands and I look forward to the day when I'm rich enough to buy every polish I want! Thank you again for sending me these beauties to swatch.
