Hello there, long time no post eh? So I haven't posted in four months woops...big woops. It's been so busy and then I contemplated quitting blogging but eventually I decided that wasn't what I wanted. I sort of made it my New Years Resolution to start again but knew I wouldn't start straight away so here we are. From the title you may have guessed I have something very special to share with you today and boy is that the truth!
Whilst sitting with my family watching TV, I got a notification to say that my wonderful friend Hayley (the creator of Danglefoot Polish) had tagged me in a post on Facebook. It turned out that post was her announcing a new trio of polishes...named after me! Hayley said that obviously I would have to swatch the trio so this is what my first blog post of 2017 will be about, yippee!
This trio is a beautiful set of matte polishes containing either shimmer or shimmer and flakies. First of the three is Awakening, this amazing bright orange with shimmer. When Hayley first started posting about these, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this. I'm just really loving orange at the moment and this definitely doesn't disappoint! Out of the three, Awakening had my favourite formula as it was just the right amount of thickness and so smooth to apply. Shown here is two coats without topcoat in the first three photos and then shown with topcoat.
Slumber is a lovely shimmery slate grey. Again the formula and application was great, not that I'd expect anything less from a Danglefoot! Swatches show two coats and the final photo with topcoat added.
The final polish in the trio is unsurprisingly my favourite. Nightmare is a gorgeous deep purple with shimmer and flakies for good measure. This was of course another polish with a fab formula and was slightly thicker than the other two which is why the very deep ridges in my nails don't show up as much. Picture show two coats and final photo shows with topcoat.
I don't tend to use matte polishes very often but I'm definitely going to try and use these...without putting a topcoat on! I'm so honoured that Hayley named this trio after me and I really can't thank her enough. What a start to 2017! These will be releasing when she next restocks the shop which she hopes will be in the next couple of weeks.
