Barry M - S/S 18 Molten Metal Collection

Hi all! Apologies for my missed post on Friday. I thought I could do swatches and write a post before my boyfriend came to visit but I was very much mistaken, woops! Today I'm sharing some polishes that I've waited a good few months to get my hands on and I'm super excited to have finally tried them. These are of course, the four new holographic polishes that form part of the Molten Metal collection from Barry M. Let's get right into the swatches shall we?

As you may well be aware, there are already many other polishes in the Molten Metal collection and you can see some of my previous swatches here and here. This is the second time Barry M have produced holographic polishes and I'm so glad they've continued. From what I've seen, they're one of the only high street brands making holo polishes and I can confirm that they are doing a great job!

The first I have to share is 'Holographic Sunburst', a lovely holographic dusty red. All of these polishes have amazing super smooth formulas, making them so easy to apply. My swatch shows two coats with topcoat.

Next up is 'Holographic Flare', a beautiful light green. This was a little more sheer than the first but still would have been fine in two coats. I got a bit impatient though and started painting the second coat before the first had dried so ended up lifting half the colour... Therefore, this swatch shows three coats with topcoat (but two would have worked perfectly well if I wasn't an idiot, honest!).

The third polish is a stunning holo lavender named 'Holographic Rocket'. I'm not sure why 'rocket', I don't remember rockets being purple, but who cares when it's this pretty! I was going to say this was my favourite but actually I really love all of them. Shown below is two coats with topcoat.

Finally, we have 'Holographic Moon'. Bizarrely, I was really excited for this because I loved the look of it from everyone's swatches. As you can probably tell, I'm not really a big nude polish person but there was just something about this... Unfortunately I ended up not liking it on myself as much as I hoped I would but it is definitely still very pretty! For those that need more neutral colours for work, this would be perfect if you still wanted something a little sparkly! Swatch shows two coats with topcoat.

So there we have it. Shiny new (well, kind of) holo Barry M's that I absolutely love! Some of their recently released polishes have a been a bit iffy in my opinion but they've definitely pulled it out of the bag with the Molten Metals. These beauties are available from Superdrug, Boots and of course, Barry M themselves for a great price of £3.99. Boots and Superdrug often have various offers too so do have a look around!

Have you grabbed any of these polishes yet? What's your favourite?

  1. You really make it seem so easy together with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be actually something that I think I would by no means understand. It seems too complex and extremely extensive for me. I’m looking ahead on your next publish, I will attempt to get the dangle of it! surface finishing

  3. At the same time developing was the Speed Metal sound, which zeroed in principally on tune and specialized greatness, exhibited by groups like Bacillus anthracis, Blacksmith's iron and Pantera.
