Danglefoot Polish - Doctor Who Collaboration Collection

 *PR Sample*

Good evening! It's been a little while I know but I've been working an absolute ton. Gotta get all that money to spend on Christmas right?! Or what I really mean is clothes and nail polish! Anyway, as always I am returning with something super exciting. For a while now Hayley from Danglefoot Polish has talked about doing a Doctor Who collection and I was lucky enough to be asked to collaborate on it as I love it so much. Obviously I said yes and a few months ago we really started thinking about what we wanted in it. Do you want to see what we came up with? Of course you do so read on!

First up we have 'Song of the Ood', a white crelly with lots of ultra chrome flakes and aqua shimmer. I would never have thought to do a polish for the Ood but I'm so glad Hayley did because it's absolutely stunning! The formula was also great as it wasn't too thick or thin and it applied super smoothly. My swatch shows three coats with topcoat, however it was mostly opaque in two. If you don't have a massive ridge in one of your nails like I do then two should be fine!

Next we have this stunning bright green multichrome with scattered holo named 'Come Along Pond!'. This was actually a last minute addition to the collection after another polish was scrapped but once again Hayley is out here making fab choices! I simply said we needed a green and she came back to me with this beauty. Once again it had a lovely formula and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was opaque in one coat. However, due to the numerous ridges and dents in my nails I added a second. Despite the fact it's a chrome type polish, as you can see it's not super streaky which is another bonus. Swatch below shows two coats with topcoat.

The third polish I have to share is 'I'm Burning Up a Sun Just to Say Goodbye' and this is a lovely burnt orange holo with flakes. This seems to have a sort of jelly formula so I was expecting it to be a little sheer. Pftt, did I forget this was a polish from Hayley? In reality it was lovely and opaque, smooth and easy to apply! Can we also just appreciate the name of the polish and how heartbreaking this scene is? I remember watching it for the first time and my mum was absolutely sobbing, unsurprisingly! Shown here in two coats with topcoat.

Next is 'Mad Man in a Box', a blurple jelly with aurora shifty pigment that glows blue/teal/purple and has a kind of multichrome finish. This name is of course in reference to the wonderful Eleventh Doctor (aka my favourite!) and a little conversation between him and Amy Pond where she states she was starting to think he was just a mad man in a box. Being the wonderful man/alien he is, he comes back with this brilliant response - "Amy Pond, there's something you better understand about me, 'cause it's important and one day your life may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box." Not going to lie, even just thinking about that makes me smile. I miss Matt so much! Anyway, back to the polish. Yet again this had a great formula that wasn't too runny or gloopy and applied so easily. Swatch shows two coats with topcoat.

The final two polishes in the collection are magnetic! First up is 'The Impossible Girl' which was my tribute to my favourite companion Clara Oswald. The Snowmen is one of my favourite episodes and I love the dress she wears so I decided she had to have a burgundy polish. Hayley kept it fairly simple but still beautiful by adding scattered holo and a bronze magnetic shimmer. Typically this was the polish I struggled with most to capture well, especially the magnetic effect. It actually looked a lot stronger in person... In any case it's gorgeous and I love it! Shown here in two coats with topcoat.

Last but not least we have a tribute to the newest Doctor, 'Time Lady'. This is a green/purple multichrome with pink/gold magnetic pigment. I managed to capture the magnetic effect in this a little better, especially in the third photo! So far I'm really enjoying Jodie as the Doctor, however, I do feel like I'm still waiting for a proper exciting alien/monster. There's only a few episodes of this series left so I guess I'll see how it goes! Unsurprisingly 'Time Lady' was also smooth and great to apply. Shown below in two coats with topcoat.

Now, I know I'm biased but I have to say that I really love this collection. I think we've got a really diverse range of polishes which definitely fits with Doctor Who! Please don't be upset that we haven't chosen your favourite character or whatever as it's obviously been on for so many years, we couldn't possibly choose everything and everyone! I've already said to Hayley about maybe expanding the collection in the future so perhaps put your requests down below! I'm just proud we managed to create a collection without putting a true purple in it. Purple is both mine and Hayley's go-to, I'm sure haha!

The Doctor Who Collection is available now so don't miss out! Don't forget to follow Danglefoot on Instagram or Facebook to keep updated.

Thank you so much to Hayley for asking me to help with this collection. I'm so glad we've finally brought this to life!
