Elune by Emily - Swatches & Review

 *PR Sample*

Hello! Today I'm going to be sharing swatches from one of the newest UK indies on the block, Elune by Emily! I say one of the newest but I think they've actually been around since April, I've just never got round to trying any polishes! Thankfully that has now all changed after the lovely Emily asked if I could swatch some of her latest releases and I was very quick to say yes! For those that don't know, Elune by Emily is a UK indie polish brand run by Emily from @nailmeright on Instagram. Over the last few months she's created lots of different beautiful polishes all with female names. The names are all inspired by a variety of things from Emily's life e.g. books, films and music, which I think is really lovely! We've all got to appreciate a bit of girl power right?! Read on to find out more about the polishes I was sent.

First up is the gorgeous 'Cordelia'. This is a deep purple to pink thermal with iridescent glitters, lilac shimmer and holo. 'Cordelia' is bright pink when warm and then changes to a deep purple when cold. The formula was brilliant, super smooth and it applied really nicely. I have to say this is actually my favourite of the four polishes I received just because I loved everything about it! My swatch shows two coats with topcoat.

The second polish I tried was this lovely pale blue with iridescent and fine holographic glitters named 'Misty'. I must admit I did have a bit of an opacity problem with this as it seemed very sheer and took a few coats to build up. Despite that, the overall formula was nice and it's definitely a perfect wintery shade! Swatch below shows four coats with topcoat.

Next up is 'Myrtle', a gorgeous Christmassy red jelly with lots of different glitters. On applying the first coat it appeared quite sheer so I panicked that it was going to be another 3+ coater but thankfully it became opaque with the second coat! It's always nice when a polish surprises you like that eh? I really want to use this in the run up to Christmas so I'd better get my thinking cap on and come up with some worthy nail art! Shown below in two coats with topcoat.

Finally we have 'Coco', a beautiful chocolatey bronze with bronze flakies. Admittedly this isn't the sort of shade I would usually pick for myself so I was pleasantly surprised when I swatched it. That's one of the good things about brands asking you to swatch; you try lots of polishes that you might not have tried otherwise! Once again it had a lovely smooth formula and glided on so easily. Swatch here shows two coats with topcoat.

Well, I have to say I'm very pleased by these new additions to Elune by Emily and they were a lovely introduction to the brand! Excluding the sheer-ness of 'Misty', I can't really fault any of these polishes! I've admired Emily's polishes from a distance for so long, it's been great to actually use some. Once I've got my swatch pile down a little bit I will certainly be looking into buying some more!

You can buy all four polishes now from Elune by Emily and don't forget to follow her on Instagram to keep up-to-date with all the goings on!

Thank you so much Emily for sending me these beauties. It's been an absolute pleasure!
