UberChic Beauty - Succulents Plate Review & Nail Art

Hi guys! I am back again with a new post for you and this time I have a stamping plate review and some nail art! I was looking through instagram a few days ago and saw someone had used this plate, thought to myself "Oo that's nice. I really need to buy this plate, I've wanted it for ages". In the end I didn't buy it because I'm trying to stop spending and it's a good thing I did because guess what I found today? That very same plate, unopened, still sealed, in my plate folder! This is the problem when you don't do nails for so long..you forget what you've got! Anyway, I decided to finally open it and do a little review for you guys. This gorgeous little plate is the UberChic Beauty Succulents mini plate and I love it! Let's get stuck right in shall we?

As you may be able to guess, the Succulents plate features a fab array of succulent images. You've got individual little ones, negative space images and some larger images that can cover the whole nail. UberChic really know how to pack a lot of choice into a mini plate! Below is a photo of the plate that I've taken from the UberChic website so you can see all the choices for yourself. I LOVE succulents so this really is the perfect plate for me. You should see the amount of plants I have now that I've moved into my own flat!
Now, onto the nail art that I created! The first mani I did was inspired by the lovely @themermaidpolish on Instagram and I'm actually really pleased with how it came out! To start, I used 'Song of the Ood' from Danglefoot Polish and then stamped purple squares on two of my nails using MoYou London 'Purple Rain' and Lina Nail Art Supplies 'Feeling Shapely 09'. I then used Painted Polish 'Midnight Mischief' that I bought from Rainbow Connection UK to stamp the various succulent images over the top. I initially used a normal topcoat but quickly decided it would look better matte so went over it with the Barry M Matte topcoat.

The next mani I chose to do used the large negative space image. I'm a big fan of a multi-coloured smoosh with negative space so how could I resist! I dug out my trusty old Pretty Serious pastels and used 'Fluffykins', 'Bunny Foo Foo', 'Doodle Bug' and 'Cutie Patootie' for the smoosh and then stamped again with 'Midnight Mischief' on top.

Overall I was pretty happy with how the stamping came out! Initially I couldn't pick up a single image but then suddenly it started working so I don't know what happened there haha! As long as it works eventually that's the main thing right? There is a fab range of images on the plate and I definitely can't wait to try some more. I've already got some more design ideas! If you fancy some succulent nails yourself then you can buy the plate from UberChic Beauty and Nail Artisan. I did get mine from Nail Art UK originally but I can't find it on the website at the moment!

Hope you enjoyed this post!
