Barry M - Gelly Collection S/S '19

 *PR Sample*

Hello! As I sit and write this post I'm currently deciding whether to go for a nap in preparation for my night shift tonight, or to carry on doing nails...I'm on a roll and I don't want to stop! Today I've got some polishes to share with you from the wonderful Barry M. I was once again contacted about the release of a new set of polishes, this time from their much loved Gelly Hi Shine collection. These are a perfect little set of bright summer shades so let's get stuck in!

Barry M Gelly S/S 19

The first polish I'm sharing is 'Pink Grapefruit', this lovely bright coral pink. I've always said I'm not a mega pink person but I'm a big fan of this! As I've come to expect from Barry M, this had a nice smooth formula and great application. As it was still a little streaky after the second coat, this swatch shows three coats with topcoat.

Next up we have 'Blueberry Muffin', a gorgeous teal-blue. Typically this was one of those polishes that looked different on camera than it did in person no matter what I tried. Therefore, in reality the polish is more teal-looking than these images show. Annoyingly there's also a difference in the colour between my laptop and my phone (phone being more accurate) so that's another thing to take into account. Unfortunately my editing skills don't go far beyond altering the brightness and contrast haha! Ignoring the photography problems, the polish itself was really fab as it had a lovely formula and application. Shown here in two coats with topcoat.

The next polish is one that Barry M fans have been waiting for for a long while...a Gelly yellow! It is finally here and they haven't disappointed us. 'Banana Split' is a beautiful bright yellow and I love it! Once again it had a great formula and was really easy to apply. My only complaint is that it could have done with being slightly more opaque as I needed an extra coat to get rid of any streaks from my nail ridges. Of course, if you've got lovely flat nails you may only need two! Shown below in three coats and topcoat.

Last but not least, we have 'Tangerine' which is a vibrant orangey-red. I have to say I think this is one of my favourites. I'm a real sucker for these kind of shades! As with all the other Gelly polishes, this had a fab formula making it super easy to apply neatly. For most people I think this would be okay in two coats, however I added a thin third to cover any remaining nail ridges. Swatch below shows three coats with topcoat.

So there we have it - the latest additions to the Gelly collection from Barry M! I was going to say its been a while since we've had new Gelly polishes but then I remembered we got some for Autumn last year...I just haven't had a chance to swatch them, oops! If you like the look of these beauties than you can purchase them for £3.99 each here from Barry M or from Superdrug and Boots.

I've done a few nail art designs using these new polishes so head over to my Instagram to take a look. Finally all I have left to say is a big thank you to Barry M for once again sending me their new releases. It really is a dream come true to work with the brand that got started my nail polish addiction at the very beginning.

See you in the next post!
