As you can probably gather from the title, the other polish I bought is 'Rothko Red'. This is a thermal polish that changes from "deep oxblood when cold to bright crimson when warm". My swatches show it in the transition state between the two. I didn't get to take any other photos as my camera died and I can't find the battery charger. As this is the first time I've needed the charger since I moved, it turns out I've no idea where my charger is. Good job Abigail! Anyway I actually wasn't all that impressed with this polish. It's much more jelly-like in formula than I thought it would be and so ended up being quite sheer and streaky as you can probably see. Hey ho, you win some, you lose some eh? It is shown here in three coats with topcoat.
So, all in all I did really like 'Mineralized'. If you have the sort of job that only lets you wear 'sensible' shades of polish then this is definitely one for you. The formula and application was lovely so I can't recommend it enough. 'Rothko Rd' on the other hand, sadly did not meet my expectations. I've wanted to buy it since it first came out so I am slightly gutted that I don't like it. Oh well, that's a problem we have every now and again I guess! However, if you like either, or both, of these polishes then they are available here from Rainbow Connection UK.
Fingers crossed I'll be back with another blog post soon!
