Lots of Dots

Andd hello again! Second post of the day is about the mani I currently have on. I'd planned to do a stripe waterfall mani but after things ended badly due to complications with cleaning brushes, I took it all off, started again and ended up with this:

To do this I used a dotting tool and seven different Barry M Speedy polishes - surprise surprise - Pit Stop, Need for Speed, Pole Position, In a Heart Beat, Get Set Go, Eat My Dust and Stop the Clock.

I first applied a base coat (Nail Envy by OPI), thensimply applied the colours one at time to cover my nail and finished with a top coat to even it all out. The top coat I currently use is just a cheap one from Natural Collection. I do plan on buying something different but just haven't got round to it.

This is definitely a very bright, summery mani and very simple to do as long as you have the patience. Although saying that, I don't think it actually took that long so hey, that's a bonus! I was a bit impatient when it came to applying the topcoat though as some of the dots hadn't fully dried so I ended up with some small smudges across my nail. That'll teach me!

  1. When I first looked at this mani, I really thought they were bubbles that had been stamped lol. Being a nail novice I think this would be the sort of mani for me to have a go at. (Can you tell i'm going through all your blogs hun lol) xxxx
