Galaxy Nails

Hello! This post is very late thanks to technical problems and the fact I went out to be sociable yesterday (go me!). I had planned to do a mermaid-like mani with my new stencils I bought from She Sells Seashells but after the first nail ended terribly I panicked and attempted galaxy nails for the first time instead.

I was actually very surprised with how well these turned out considering I didn't follow a tutorial or anything, just made it up as I went along. The polishes used for this mani were again all Barry M and from various different collections. I started with a base of Black and then used a sponge to apply the other colours to create the galaxy effect. Persian and Pacific from the Aquarium collection turned out to be perfect for this mani and make up the majority of the galaxy. I also used Sugar Plum from the Gelly collection and Eat My Dust from the Speedy collection. The white art pen was used to draw the stars and then Diamond Glitter was applied on top to add a bit of real life sparkle. Topcoat was again my new Plumpy Topcoat.

Sorry about all the writing in the middle there, not entirely sure how I can split it up really. Anyway as I said, I'm very happy with how this turned out, not entirely sure I want to take it off today. Fortunately my sister's friend is staying tonight and she wants me to do her nails yay!

What do you think about my first attempt at galaxy nails, did I succeed?
