Wahey! This is the first time I've had a theme for my nails and it's all worked out pretty well. So today (Monday) is a week since I got home from my holiday in Turkey and I can't begin to explain how much I wish I was still there leading to the idea for 'holiday blues'. Whilst at Turkey we went out for dinner to Waterfall Restaurant, so named because an actual waterfall sits in the middle of all the tables and chairs. I attempted to do a waterfall mani before I went away but because I didn't have any acetone to clean my brushes it didn't work out too well so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try again - this time with acetone!
I started out with a grey base using Pit Stop from the Barry M Speedy collection and then painted the lines with a long thin brush using the colours Blueberry, Blue Grape and Eat My Dust all from Barry M, and Road House Blues from OPI.
For a bit of variety I decided to use
the matte topcoat from Barry M and I'm pretty happy with how they turned
out, not bad for a first proper try. My dad even said he liked them without me prompting him so they can't have been that bad!
Anyone else been on holiday and wish they were still there or looking forward to an upcoming holiday?
